Today is a day off from work for me. Wednesday and Thursdays I spend with my kids. Enforcing slave labor, making them fix the roof and gutters, scrub toilets with toothbrushes – that sort of motherly bonding type of thing.  But today my oldest daughter here – Bri suggested we go to Tahoe.  I don’t know why we don’t go more often.  It’s only about 45 minutes away and it’s SO beautiful.  Every time I’m there I think I missed my calling as a tent living beach bum.  Today was no exception.  It was fun and I could have just stayed there.  Next time I’m bringing my tent!

Bri caught wind that today all 7-11 stores were giving away free small slurpees so we hit one up and TA-DA!!  True story because today’s date is 7-11!!  So we stopped on our way home from Lake Tahoe’s Sand Harbor.  Perfect day!
