No, I’m not a winter person. I live in Reno because I wanted my kids to grow up with seasons, learn to ski like I never did, have snowball fights, watch the leaves turn, know what “mud season” is.  I like the idea of winter – fire blazing, hot chocolate, watching the snow fall, carriage rides through Central Park.  Some of my most favorite runs have been in winter oddly enough.  Overall, though, it’s too long, too cold, too icy, too much.  I’m always cold, bundling up looks better in magazines and I spend a lot of wasted time longing for warmer temperatures.  I’ll take the cold from mid November to January 1st.  Then I’m officially over it.

We’ve had a couple days lately that have gotten into the 50′s and I’m having serious, major, total and utter Spring Fever.  Okay, Summer fever.  I’m an eBay monger – I want what I want, but don’t want to pay for it.  SO, I’ve sold some things I don’t use anymore and had a nest egg built up via PayPal.  It’s like a present to me so I started searching for summer running gear.  I know, I know, jumping the gun but at least I’m keeping myself busy.  I went through all my summer clothes to refresh my memory (I cleaned the closet last Fall) and figured out what I “needed”.  Lucky for me, I found a lady that’s my size who was unloading my FAVORITE brands of running skirts and two pairs of dress shorts from The Limited .  SCORE!!!!  I got 5 running skirts and the 2 shorts for what I would have paid for one running skirt at regular price.  THEY CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY LIKE A BEACON OF SUMMER DIVINITY!!!!!!

Naturally, I had to get all matchy matchy on myself so I pulled out what I had already (minus my pair of black capris) with what I got in the mail and then took out all my BodyRock Sport bras to see what goes together.  Running rocks.  Looking good running in clothes that you love rocks more.  Here we go!!!
